ABOUT USCHRI’s successes are based on cohesive teams of basic and applied researchers from different maternal and child health disciplines. Their collaborations result in improved diagnostics, patient care, drug therapies and new intervention programs. The five programs at CHRI cover research in Developmental Biology, Molecular Genetics, Fetal and Newborn Health, Children’s Optimal Therapeutics and Child Health and Well-Being. CHRI is home to one of the country’s top paediatric research institutes, with 30 Scientists and 71 Associate Scientists. In 2004, our scientists’ research initiatives attracted $7,187,642 in funding, including $5,624,241 in federal and provincial funding. Our Objectives
