CORE FACILITIES

Our Institute in partnership with The University of Western Ontario, Lawson Health Research Institute, London Regional Cancer Program and Robarts Research Institute has provided leadership, guidance and resources to the establishment of core research facilities needed by London scientists to be competitive with international researchers. Core facilities developed or in the process of being developed include:

  • London Regional Innovarium
  • London Regional Transgenic and Gene Targeting Core Facility
  • London Regional Genomics Core Facility
  • London Regional Proteomics Core Facility
  • London Regional Bioinformatics Core Facility
  • London Regional Imaging Core Facility
  • CHRI Histology Core Facility

New state-of-the-art equipment are available for our researchers to share such as laser cell microdissection system, confocal microscopy, real-time PCR, NMR, and unique facilities, such as surgical robotic systems, 3-D ultrasound systems, high-intensity magnetic resonance imaging system, near infrared spectroscopy and PET-CT scanner, are also available on a collaborative basis.

Our Institute has also played a role in developing other research initiatives in the city, such as CSTAR (Canadian Surgical Technologies and Advanced Robotics).
