The Department of Paediatrics and CHRI are committed to encourage and support translational research that aims to improve the health of mothers, infants and children. Faculty members within the Department of Paediatrics are elegible to apply in collaboration with a CHRI Scientist or Associate Scientist in basic research. Please submit all applications to the Administrtative Office of CHRI by Friday, April 20, 2012.

2012 Scientist of the Year Award
CHRI is pleased to announce the annual Scientist of the Year Award for 2012. The purpose of this award is to recognize the CHRI Scientist or Associate Scientist who is an active member of the Institute and has made a significant contribution to the field of children's health research from 2009-2011.
2012 Trainee of the Year Award
CHRI is pleased to announce the annual Trainee of the Year Award for 2012. The purpose of this award is to recognize the CHRI Trainee (graduate student or postdoctoral fellow) at CHRI who has made a significant contribution to the field of children's health research from 2009-2011.
Bridging Operating Grants
Bridging Operating Grants provide one-year operating funds, affording Principal Investigators an opportunity to resubmit their research proposal without loss of momentum, staff, or trainees. To be eligible, applicants have only to identify the IG as their primary or secondary affiliated Institute.
Value and Term: Up to $100,000 for a maximum of one year.
Banting Research Foundation
Seed grants for new investigators within their first 3 years of their independent academic or research
appointment at Canadian Universities, research institutes or hospitals.
Deadline for applications: March 15th of any year
