At the Children's Health Research Institute, five teams of
more than 100 Scientists and Associate Scientists dedicate
their research to improving the health of infants, children
and youth. They are studying the causes, cures and long-term
effects of children's diseases, and are evaluating new therapies.
Their insights and discoveries will make significant differences
in the lives of children and youth of Canada and around the
world.
This interdisciplinary group of scientists has been brought
together to foster research collaborations and share state-of-the-art
methodologies. The "coming together" provides opportunities
to exchange information, to discover jointly and to share
cutting edge equipment. The team approach allows effective
research by enabling synergy. The diverse expertise of these
researchers spans the entire life cycle of children, and all
domains including biomedical, clinical, population and health
policy research.
The “Team Approach” will make a difference in
the lives of many children and youth.
