Research

My research takes a population and community health approach by examining major health burdens in the community.  My Unit's areas of focus are:

1. injury prevention and control
2. at-risk youth and mental health issues

Specifically, I am interested in:

• road safety issues such as alcohol, drugs and driving; street racing; medical conditions and driving;
• adolescent health issues such as risk taking and health compromising behaviours, self-rated health status and health care utilization;
• mental health issues such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, mood and anxiety disorders and community mental health issues and care utlization
